Dear Nell Newman, I am so excited about your pet food products that I felt I should explain to you why I am so grateful to you and your company. I have raised and loved my cats and dogs for more than 45 years, they are my family and nothing is to good for them. While shopping for cat food recently, I found 1 bag of Newman's Own Organics Cat Food and decided to give it a try. Now my story begins. Four years ago, Chance, who is an 18 lb. large orange striped cat started having all kinds of problems. I have taken him to three different veterinarians and was told that 1. he is stressed out; 2. he has hot spots; 3. he needs daily medications for his hair pulling and 4. I need to change his diet. I have spent thousands of dollars on vets, diet changes, aroma therapy in every room in the house and the list goes on. Chance finally got down to 11 lbs., had half of his hair torn out, his fur was so dull you could not see his stripes and his eyes were cloudy looking. I took him to the vet once again and they told me the same old story about stress. Finally, a wonderful breakthrough, I found Newman's Own Organics Cat Food. Within 6 days of Chance being on your food he completely stopped pulling out his hair, started gaining weight, and now, today he is up to 16 lbs and has very bright and clear eyes! He is a drop dead gorgeous bright orange with dark stripes cat again and I just wanted you to know that Chance and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Chance is calm, extremely happy and a loving cat again. Thank you for this wonderful food that has made Chance and me so excited that we are now telling everyone we know about his great food. I also want to know that I threw away all of the other dog and cat food in the house and now my cats Chance and Boots, and the dogs Minnie and MarRah (chihuahua's) are all on your healthy food. Ubu, my cat turned 17 in April. At this point in his life he only eats wet food. He loves yours and his digestive system does best when eating it. Our dogs, Argo and Stella both love Newman's Own Organics Premium Dog Food. German Shepherds are known for having sensitive stomachs, and are often prone to allergies and itchy skin. We'd been thrilled to watch Argo's health improve and his itching stop after transitioning him to Newman's. When we adopted Stella, she came to us with an upset belly and awful skin problems. She'd been eating a name brand, "premium" dog food, but it contained wheat, corn, and other unnecessary fillers that were making her miserable! The itching was so bad! Stella scratched constantly, and even licked the fur off of several spots on her legs. When we transitioned her diet to Newman's, she improved dramatically in just a few weeks. The scratching stopped, her fur grew back, her belly got better, and she was a much happier dog! Argo and Stella are a part of our family. As a dog lover and a green blogger, I've spent a lot of time reading about dog foods and ingredients. There isn't a dog food out there that I trust as much as I trust Newman's Own Organics, and I love that when we buy Argo & Stella's food, we're supporting a company that does so much good. This is a picture of Ozzie. He is 15 years old and thriving on Newman's Own Organics Liver Cat Food! He is our "Miracle Kitty" as his doctor calls him. He was diagnosed 2 years ago with kitty leukemia. Now, the past 2 blood tests over the last 3 months have come back perfect (which his doctor says is "unbelievably great"!) and he has gained weight, his hair is growing back and he has great energy! My husband and I have three cats. Lydia, our 12 year old Maine Coon, has progressively had problems with just about every dry food we have tried. We have taken her to the vet, had her teeth cleaned, had teeth pulled, etc., but yet she was having problems keeping just about all of her dry food down. About a month ago we switched to Newman's Own Organics and all of Lydia's problems have completely disappeared. Thank you for putting out such a great product. By the way, our other two kitties (Scarlett and Lucy) also seem to enjoy Newman's Own Organics as well!

Whula is 15 going on 16. She’s a 75 pound Pit-bull Shepherd Wolf cross. I’ve had her since she was 6 months (born in a teepee in Montana), and I must say she is the most beautiful dog in the world :)! She’s incredibly healthy for her age, and while she definitely has a hitch in her get-a-long, her physical well-being is quite astonishing for her age. In the last year she’s become extremely picky about her food. For the most part she only wants Tenderloin steak, so I have to constantly reminder her that the staple to her diet is dry dog food. She gets, of course, top of the line dry dog food, namely Newman’s Own Organics “made with” Advanced Dog Chicken and Rice Formula. She went on strike however against dry dog food unless it’s mixed with wet dog food (or steak). I tried several canned formulas until finally, I gave her the Organic Beef/Liver formulas that your company recently launched. SHE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!! She is now eating regularly again! In the last two months her coat has turned into a plush fur blanket that people cannot take their hands off of. I take her work with me everyday and when I walk her downtown, heads turn and whistles blow. People are constantly telling me how beautiful she is, and friends that have known her for years are taken back at her health and stamina at 15. They refer to her as the Katherine Hepburn of dogs. My friend Scout was an abused dog when we met. I was fortunate to adopt him and we have been family for 7 years. Scout always had digestion issues with other dog foods. I tried to make his food myself but it was costly and time consuming. Luckily we found Newmans Own Dry Dog Foods. He loves it and he no longer has tummy troubles! -Tammy

Hello! We are Jen and Justin, the proud parents of Sake, a calico-torti kitty who is almost 19 years-old. As a mature kitty with stomach issues (megacolon), Sake had been eating the same food for the past five years since her vet recommended the particular brand. A couple of months ago we decided to look for an alternative, a back-up food that was high-quality but could be purchased at our local grocery store so that we didn't have to make weekly trips to the pet store. We bought your Turkey and Turkey and Vegetable canned food for Sake, and well, she's now addicted to your food! I know that your cat food is special in that the ingredients are organic and healthy, but there must be some seemingly magical ingredient in it that has turned our once-quiet and demure older kitty into a meowing, energetic girl once again! After a couple of weeks on your brand, we noticed that Sake was talking more, was more "sassy", more active . . . and would meow non-stop at us early in the morning so that we get out of bed and feed her her favorite Newman's Own food! She actually licks her bowl clean now every time, and in her 18+ years we've never witnessed this with any other cat food. We are thrilled with Sake's newfound energy and the turnaround we've witnessed in her thanks to Newman's Own Organics. We joke that she is "obsessed" with your cat food and we know it makes her very happy, but on a serious note we wanted to thank you personally because it makes us very happy to see our Princess active again! I have a 2 yr old min-pin, Dolce, who would only eat another brand of soft and moist dog food from the day I bought her. I have tried every dog food to keep her healthy and she would only eat the brand which I know is not that good for her. This morning I purchased a bag of your product to try to see if she would eat it and low and behold she was actually pushing the bag around on the floor trying to get it open. I just want to say "Thank You" I know she will continue her good health now that she is eating healthy...... Keep up the good work !!!!

Bruiser loves these treats so much. As soon as I open the bag he knows what they are and if I say, "do you want your treat" he knows immediately. Bruiser was adopted from a shelter last year and we know nothing about his life before or even his exact age. All we know is that he is part German Shepard and part Grey Hound. He loves to eat grass and I call him a cow, but after a week of eating these treats I have not seen him eat grass at all. I guess he approves and so does his tummy. Our Cocker Spaniel, Dax, has a sensitive stomach and gets ear infections from normal dog biscuits. Since we switched to Newman's Own Organics he has done perfectly.

My Name is Bunny and I am a full grown, 5 pound Chihuahua living in Santa Cruz. I am sending my picture so you can see how beautiful Newman's Own Organics pet food has made me. I have been eating it my entire life. As you can see, it causes my eyes to shine, my coat to be like mink, and my body to be strong. I'm also very witty and observant. Don't let my beauty fool you. I'm a tough cookie. I have my owners (litter mates) Jill and Morgan pretty well trained. They know not to buy me any other food. Sometimes I get Morgan to snap the little heart shaped dog treat in half. When he does this it releases a boquet, like a fine glass of wine. As a socially aware little doggie, I like that fact that Newman's supports local charities. I am a customer for life. Bunny

Our 9 yr. old beloved cat Satty, who picked us, had severe allergies. Her hair on her stomach,legs,tail,and feet was gone because she itched so bad. Our Vet. said the steroids would help her but shorten her life span. She told us what to look for in food, and yours was the ONLY one that did not have any bad ingredients... Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for making your small canned dog food. My chihuahua has a very sensitive stomach (we suspect a wheat allery) and we have had great difficulty finding healthy food that she will eat... Not only is yours the first healthy dog food my dog would finish, she absolutley loves it! Both of our dogs lick every millimeter of their bowl once they are finished eating. Hi! I've been feeding my cats your pet food ever since it became available with fantastic results! Thank you for such a quality product! We adopted both of our cats from the local Humane Society. One cat (Lilly) was adopted three years ago at about 3 yrs. old and has eaten other brands before we switched to Newman's Own. The other cat (Winston) we adopted about 4 months ago at age 3 months and he has eaten only Newman's Own since we adopted him. He was brought to the shelter after he was found by someone who said he had been thrown out of a car. He also was full of fleas, ear mites and had worms. The Humane Society nursed him back to health and then we adopted him. He weighed about 3 lbs. then, now at 7 months he is a healthy 10 lbs. (he is not overweight or obese! He's just going to be a large cat!) He is no longer the tiny, scrawny little kitty we adopted; with proper care and your premium cat food he is a "new" cat; very handsome, healthy, strong and energetic! Thank you so much!
