Dear Newman's Own Organics Pet Food folks, We are writing to share a success story about your products. We feel too often customers only provide feedback when they're dissatisfied. We are very long time customers of your human food products (We love your pasta sauce, coffee, and most especially Newman Os!). Recently we switched both our dog and cat to your pet food line with great success. When we adopted our cat she was diagnosed with IBS and was living a fairly unhappy life. She was uncomfortable and sick often. Though we found medication to help her situation, we tried food after food with little reduction to her symptoms, including a prescription foods. At the suggestion of a friend and knowing how appreciative we are of your other products, we tried Newman's Own Organics cat food (both the wet and the dry). We were amazed! Within a couple weeks my cat, Dulci, was more comfortable and playful than she has been since we adopted her. As a result of our success with your cat food we came to your website and read your FAQ page. We had no idea all the ways in which we were making a good decision about a pet food. Not only is our pet happier, but your company is clearly a good corporate citizen. We feel good about using a product that is organic and good for the animals going into the products, as well as a company that is giving back philanthropically. After knowing this, we switched our dog (a chihuahua) to your food. He is an increasingly picky eater and he took to your food with vigor. He actually cries when I get out your dry food at dinner time, when before he only picked through his previous brand. We recently found out that our parents with two dogs switched to your pet food a while back and love it just as much as we do. Please keep up the good work. It is difficult to find a quality product, let alone one that comes from a company doing good works. It's refreshing and you've made a family of Newman's customers out of us.

I really wanted to add a customer comment. My two little dogs, Papas and Mammut, will ONLY eat Newman's Own Organics. After a few years of giving them a mix of your organic beef soft food and the adult kibble, I started seeing some of the stores I buy the food at (Target and Ralphs) discontinue it, so I got worried that the line of food would completely go away. I switched to Wellness, all I can say is they refused to eat, got dehydrated, weak and lost a pound or two. I immediatly went on a search to find the food, found it at VONS and stocked up. Once they got back on Newman's Own Organics, they were happy, healthy, eating and pooping regularly again. All I can say is, please never stop making this food! It's all they want to eat! Dear Nell Newman, I am so excited about your pet food products that I felt I should explain to you why I am so grateful to you and your company. I have raised and loved my cats and dogs for more than 45 years, they are my family and nothing is to good for them. While shopping for cat food recently, I found 1 bag of Newman's Own Organics Cat Food and decided to give it a try. Now my story begins. Four years ago, Chance, who is an 18 lb. large orange striped cat started having all kinds of problems. I have taken him to three different veterinarians and was told that 1. he is stressed out; 2. he has hot spots; 3. he needs daily medications for his hair pulling and 4. I need to change his diet. I have spent thousands of dollars on vets, diet changes, aroma therapy in every room in the house and the list goes on. Chance finally got down to 11 lbs., had half of his hair torn out, his fur was so dull you could not see his stripes and his eyes were cloudy looking. I took him to the vet once again and they told me the same old story about stress. Finally, a wonderful breakthrough, I found Newman's Own Organics Cat Food. Within 6 days of Chance being on your food he completely stopped pulling out his hair, started gaining weight, and now, today he is up to 16 lbs and has very bright and clear eyes! He is a drop dead gorgeous bright orange with dark stripes cat again and I just wanted you to know that Chance and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Chance is calm, extremely happy and a loving cat again. Thank you for this wonderful food that has made Chance and me so excited that we are now telling everyone we know about his great food. I also want to know that I threw away all of the other dog and cat food in the house and now my cats Chance and Boots, and the dogs Minnie and MarRah (chihuahua's) are all on your healthy food. Our dogs, Argo and Stella both love Newman's Own Organics Premium Dog Food. German Shepherds are known for having sensitive stomachs, and are often prone to allergies and itchy skin. We'd been thrilled to watch Argo's health improve and his itching stop after transitioning him to Newman's. When we adopted Stella, she came to us with an upset belly and awful skin problems. She'd been eating a name brand, "premium" dog food, but it contained wheat, corn, and other unnecessary fillers that were making her miserable! The itching was so bad! Stella scratched constantly, and even licked the fur off of several spots on her legs. When we transitioned her diet to Newman's, she improved dramatically in just a few weeks. The scratching stopped, her fur grew back, her belly got better, and she was a much happier dog! Argo and Stella are a part of our family. As a dog lover and a green blogger, I've spent a lot of time reading about dog foods and ingredients.
